“Bills vs Bears PRESEASON MELTDOWN: McDermott’s Fire-Alarm After 38-0 Carnage” by immigratescope.com

Bills vs Bears Preseason? Oof, rough night for Buffalo fans. Seriously, 38-0? That’s just brutal. You could see McDermott was not having it he basically called out the whole squad after the game. “This is absolutely not our standard,” he said, and you could just tell he wanted to say a few choice words he probably saved for the locker room. Sloppy plays, dumb penalties, no spark at all. Even the backups looked like they’d rather be chilling at home.

So, about those backups—let’s just say, not their best showing. Chicago’s starters, especially that rookie Caleb Williams, were just having a field day. Williams looked cool as ever, marched down the field and threw a bomb to Zaccheaus for a touchdown right off the bat. Bills’ defense? They were basically standing there holding the door open.

Offense wasn’t any prettier. Mike White? Four completions out of eleven—yikes. Trubisky? Barely made a blip. Chicago’s defense made them look like they were stuck in quicksand. The scoreboard probably felt lonely with that big fat zero.

And the defense, well, it kinda fell apart. Rookie Cole Bishop got burned by Zaccheaus, and Hamlin just couldn’t get in the right spot. The whole secondary looked confused. D-line? MIA. McDermott straight up said, “If you can’t win the trenches, you can’t win.” He’s not wrong. And let’s not forget the penalties—ten! It was like they were handing out free yards.

Meanwhile, the Bears? They were just rolling. Williams ended up with a 130 QB rating, and guys like Bagent, Brown, and Zaccheaus were having a blast. Every play, Chicago was moving forward, Buffalo was just stuck.

Seriously, every part of the game tipped Chicago’s way. Offense, defense, special teams—it was all Bears. Buffalo just couldn't catch a break.

After the game, McDermott was basically like, “Hit the reset button, please.” He’s right, though—if they play like this when the real games start, it’s gonna get ugly real quick. He wants them to get back to basics, play with some fire, and, you know, actually look like a team out there. Even the backups need to step it up—no more snoozing.

So yeah, rough start to the preseason for Buffalo. But hey, it’s not the end of the world. McDermott said it: “A lot to clean up. Fundamentals, drive, urgency—those have to be better.” Here’s hoping next week looks a whole lot different. Hang in there, Bills Mafia!
